Position overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts with a strong focus on automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and optimizing testing strategies, mentoring the QA team, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, and driving continuous improvements throughout our testing practices. This role requires a blend of leadership, extensive hands-on expertise in automation, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence in both manual and automated testing.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, processes, and best practices across all projects to enhance product quality.
  • Plan, design, and oversee the execution of test cases (both manual and automated), ensuring effective test coverage.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that product requirements are well-defined, testable, and clear.
  • Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks as well as continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI / CD) integration processes.
  • Drive root cause analysis for defects, ensuring timely resolutions and improved processes to mitigate future issues.
  • Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics, defect trends, and overall release readiness to stakeholders.
  • Promote quality assurance at every phase of the software development lifecycle, ensuring a quality-first mindset within the team and the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing a QA team.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with a focus on automation (preferably Java stack).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, along with proficiency in programming languages used for test automation.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and popular tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge and experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile / Scrum environments, actively participating in sprints and sprint reviews.
  • Excellent leadership abilities coupled with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
