Summary
We are now looking for a Finance Manager who has a background in consumer goods to oversee the financial health of the Latin America business. You will need a detailed understanding of managing the finance department for both a Mexico and Latin America operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for month-end close, external and internal reporting and analysis, statutory audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Lead and develop the local Finance team and partner with external consultants.
- Collaborate with global offices and shared service functions to process accounts receivables and payables.
- Support Corporate Finance and the General Manager with annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and produce reports, as needed.
- Provide detailed analysis of customer, product, and overall profitability. Identify risks and advise on measures to improve the overall profitability of the subsidiaries.
- Work closely with the sales teams to support commercial decisions and joint business planning through insights and fact-finding.
- Support the preparation of tax deliverables for the LATAM businesses.
- Manage the VAT, duty deferment, and any other allocations in conjunction with external teams.
- Assist with payroll and expense reimbursements.
- Support the setup and administration of our retail partners, which includes credit limits, payment terms, allowances, and discounts.
- Work with the external auditors on annual audit requirements.
- Prepare forecasts and provide analysis of sales, gross margin, SG&A, and profitability trends.
- Prepare management reports and support the development of presentations for the Board and Leadership Team.
- Assist with identification and implementation of process improvements.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Education and / or Experience
ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA or similar qualifications.Solid grasp of international accounting standards.Advanced Excel skills.Experience in the consumer goods market, ideally in a product group that is closely matched.Experience with JD Edwards, and WMS is a plus.Experience in wholesale distribution and working with a US parent organization.Highly organized and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.Management experience and can influence at all levels.Office based in Mexico.A Passion for Cycling and the Outdoors!Competencies
