Job Title : Data Scientist
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) solutions to complex business problems in the insurance space.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, with experience building and deploying ML models using AWS tools such as SageMaker and Bedrock.
As a Data Scientist, you will be working on a variety of projects, from classic machine learning to applying the latest advancements in generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the ML lifecycle for designated projects, including scoping, data prep, model development, validation, and handoff for deployment.
- Develop robust machine learning models and implement clean, testable Python code using libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch / TensorFlow as needed.
- Design and execute SQL queries to profile, join, aggregate, and validate large datasets in Snowflake.
- Work closely with engineering and devops teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and scalability of machine learning models within the existing infrastructure.
- Package models using Docker and deploy via CI / CD pipelines.
- Use AWS services like SageMaker and Lambda for scalable deployment.
- Monitor model performance and automate retraining workflows.
- Adhere to best practices for model validation, testing, and monitoring to ensure performance and reliability.
- Use monitoring tools (Streamlit, Power BI) to track model drift and accuracy.
- Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
- Present findings in stakeholder meetings and webinars.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or higher in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or similar quantitative field.2-4 years of relevant, proven experience building and deploying machine learning models; experience within the insurance industry a plus.Experience building & deploying models with AWS tools (Bedrock, Sagemaker, Comprehend, S3, etc) is preferred.Proficiency in writing production-quality, scalable code using Python; experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, huggingface, Keras, etc.Strong working knowledge of MLFlow, Docker, Git, and SQL.Experience in creating and integrating APIs for model deployment.Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into ML solutions.Benefits
