Software Developer in Test

Travelport is a leading technology company that powers travel bookings. We’re looking for a talented SDET to join our agile team in Guadalajara, Mexico.

How you’ll make an impact

The SDET’s responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks, focusing on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. The role involves building automation testing tools and frameworks to support manual testing.

Responsibilities

• Understand the flow of code and its interaction with components.
• Interpret project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
• Set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks across web services and build test scenarios and acceptance tests.
• Investigate customer problems referred by technical support, test bugs, and create / manage bug reports.
• Communicate technical details and understand customer systems.
• Participate in all agile team meetings : daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and planning meetings.
• Collaborate with the deployment team to resolve system issues and provide input on testability of functional elements and designs.
• Document all testing actions in daily and weekly reports.
• Analyze and decompose software systems and coordinate with other teams to enhance overall design.
• Research test tools, methodologies, and trends to continuously evaluate and upgrade existing practices.
• Manage the final quality on production releases.
