In this key leadership position, you will lead a best-in-class, functional team of software engineers. Along with leading and growing the team, you will define and promote the team’s ways of working, hiring, and training strategies.
What you'll do
You will work with Operations to create and facilitate an environment where each individual improves both their soft skills and engineering / consulting skills. You are responsible for creating conditions in which development teams can deliver features that meet high customer expectations. You will manage up to 3 functional teams of software engineers and develop high-level strategic plans to ensure they are set up for success with the right competencies and energized team dynamics. On a daily basis, you will work closely with your teams to identify and resolve any dysfunctions impacting performance.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your teams are balanced and deliver software that meets customer expectations while considering non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, and reliability. You should be able to answer technical questions, train and manage your team, and collaborate with various departments.
You possess strong persuasion, inspiration, and motivation skills. You can effectively navigate stakeholders across Backbase, from conducting 1-to-1s with team members to working directly with senior leadership.
