Join our Happeners!Position : Accounts Payable SpecialistDepartment : Finance – General Accounting Employment Type : Full-Time Location : Mexico City, MexicoRole OverviewWe’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Analyst to support our accounting operations across Mexico City. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting standards. If you're passionate about accounting and thrive in collaborative, international settings, this is your opportunity to grow and make an impact.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesRecord and analyze amortizations, depreciations, and accounting provisionsPrepare and file taxes in accordance with regional and corporate guidelinesPerform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding itemsManage intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper balance alignmentExecute account revaluations and foreign currency conversionsAnalyze overdue portfolios and recognize provisions for doubtful accountsCalculate and record interest on internal and external loansEnsure compliance with internal controls and support both internal and external auditsCollaborate closely with Regional Audit and Finance teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Public AccountingMinimum 3-4 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in multinational or shared services environmentsFamiliarity with financial reporting standards (preferred)Strong experience in reconciliations and closing processesProficiency in English (reading, writing, and basic verbal communication)Intermediate to advanced Excel skillsCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and a results-driven mindsetExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work effectively in diverse, multicultural teamsExperience implementing internal controls, automation, and process improvementsWhat We OfferFlexible hybrid work modelCareer development in a global, inclusive environmentOngoing training and learning opportunitiesCompetitive benefits exceeding legal requirements
