Project Coordinator – Major Global Sporting Event (Mexico – Polanco)Are you ready to play a key role in one of the most exciting global sporting events of the decade?Our client is delivering a Tour Operator Program for the 2026 World Cup across the USA, Mexico, and Canada – and they are looking for a Project Coordinator based in Mexico City – Polanco to help make it happen.This is a 1-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension, perfect for someone looking to contribute to a once-in-a-lifetime global event.Why This Role is ExcitingBe part of a major international sporting project happening on home soil.Work with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a high-profile environment.Gain hands-on experience in end-to-end project delivery for a major travel services operation.Use your expertise to streamline processes, automate workflows, and ensure operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project phases and ensure governance documentation is up to date.Monitor KPIs, maintain risk registers, and provide regular health checks on delivery progress.Support commercial and operational workflows across flights, accommodation, and ground transport.Build and maintain Excel-based reporting dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.Support readiness planning and compliance monitoring to meet event service levels.Facilitate smooth collaboration between local and international teams.What We’re Looking ForStrong background in project coordination or PMO support (ideally with travel or events exposure).Knowledge of tour operator, group travel, or hospitality services is highly desirable.Advanced skills in Excel and comfortable with SharePoint and Power Automate tools.Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and the ability to work across geographies.Proactive, resilient, and able to deliver in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.Additional DetailsLocation : Mexico City – Polanco (Hybrid work model)Contract : 1-year fixed-term contract, with potential for extensionTiming : Full-time, standard office hours with flexibility to work evenings / weekends during peak periods.Travel : Occasional travel to event sites, hotel inspections, and pre-event planning sessions.
