Job Summary

We’re looking for a senior data leader who operates at a director level but prefers to stay deeply hands‑on . You will own the entire data ecosystem — warehouse, pipelines, modeling, semantic layer, BI foundations, and internal data applications. This role shapes the company’s data strategy while building high‑quality, scalable systems that power decision‑making across every team.

Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end data ecosystem, from raw data ingestion to curated, trusted datasets powering analytics and business intelligence.
• Architect, implement, and scale data pipelines and warehouse infrastructure to support rapid growth and evolving data requirements.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of core Looker / LookML models, ensuring clarity, reliability, and performance of business metrics.
• Define and evolve the semantic layer, including source‑of‑truth dimensions, measures, and business logic used across the organization.
• Partner with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into technical data architecture and modeling decisions.
• Build and enhance internal data applications, services, and tools supporting analytics, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Implement rigorous data quality, governance, monitoring, and alerting across all layers of the data stack.
• Establish standards and best practices for data modeling, ETL / ELT orchestration, and business intelligence development.
• Act as a technical mentor and architectural influencer across engineering teams, guiding decisions without formal personnel management.
