We are on a mission to make travel easier.We solve these pains by working with airlines (e.g., LATAM airlines) and online travel agencies (e.g., Despegar) and operate in 30 countries (across 3 continents), managing over $4 billion dollars in flight tickets.OverviewAbout the roleAs an API Solution Engineer, your mission is to be the bridge between customer requirements and product functionality.

You'll be in contact with customers, business, engineering and product teams, transcribing customer needs into technical and functional solutions, with an eye for automation and continuous improvement.

Your role is critical for successfully delivering automation projects for our portfolio and product scalability.ObjectivesDeploy solutions to deliver on customer needs by collaborating with technical and business teams and interacting with our applications and systems.Continually automate repetitive tasks to increase the team's efficiency and output, enabling product scaling.Document your proposed solutions : logical model, data model, workflow diagrams, technical set-up specifications, etc.Certify your delivery and its integration with other components, designing and performing the relevant tests to ensure the quality of your delivery.Monitor the use of external services and internal APIs to ensure their continuous operation, taking appropriate steps to maintain them healthy.What Makes Someone Successful in this Role (Essential Qualifications)Engineering degree with experience interacting with software systemsExcellent written and verbal communication with senior and junior stakeholdersExperience with APIs (Rest, SOAP, GraphQL) and extensive use of testing applications (Postman, Insomnia, cURL...)Knowledge of SQL / No-SQL and visualizationLight experience with continuous integration tools (Git and GitHub / Gitlab...)Nice to HavesKnowledge of API Security FrameworksExperience in travel industry technologies like GDS / NDC (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport, etc)Some experience with No-code platforms (retool, appmaster...)Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesSoftware Development
