Project Engineering SpecialistThe Sr.

Project Specialist position will be responsible for the budgeting process from idea to submittal and revision.

They will be expected to understand fluctuations in scope and their impact on cost for contractors and building materials.

In addition, they will be expected to have a technical understanding of equipment so they can differentiate expected cost based on technical scopes.

This position will be part of the Project Management team but will act as a liaison between finance, product development and other teams as necessary.

They will be expected to "consult" on expected project costs and be able to explain costs discrepancies / budgeting decisions to other Niagara departments.Sr.

They will be expected to "consult" on expected project costs and be able to explain costs discrepancies / budgeting decisions to other Niagara departments.Role Responsibilities and ScopeManage the budgeting process.o Review scopes and highlight areas that could result in budget swings if left undefinedo Create preliminary budgets based on historical budgets and current marketunderstandingo Refine budgets as scope clarifications are madeConsult with finance to answer budget questions and create budget comparisons with explanations for deviations from project to projectConsult with other departments on budgeting questions and estimations for projectsBuild further understanding around contractor and building modification costs as they relate to project scope.Collaborate with PMs and Analyst on budget trackers throughout project lifecycleFurther improve the budgeting process through tool creation using historical budgets and current cost fluctuationsInitiates Project Creation in Oracle.Requirements and qualificationsBachelor of Engineering in Chemical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanic or related.3-5 years of experience in project management, budgeting, costs, CAPEX and manufacturing processes.Experience working with AutoCAD and Oracle.Advanced proficiency in English.
