Your Impact

You will help clients capture cost savings using digital sourcing tools. These tools help clients run digital auctions, eRFQs, eTenders and eRFI. Digital tools can save up to 30% off cost base compared to non-digital methodologies.

You will consult these clients as part of a large and diverse client service team, working with a vast variety of clients up to 1 unique client per month.

McKinsey will train you to become a global expert in procurement best-practices, digital sourcing and tools including Coupa Sourcing Optimizer, JaggaerOne, and ScoutRFP, and to develop business development skills.

You will join as a core member to execute portions of the sourcing project plan, drive end-to-end sourcing event strategy, vendor negotiations and savings capture, and help clients understand basic sourcing terminology and workflow using McKinsey best practices.

You will provide analytics support using configurable reporting tools to assess responses, aggregate data, and create negotiation support and business summaries, delivering high-quality results from solution assets. The Digital Sourcing team will support you and ensure assets, vendors, and processes adhere to our standards and client data is safeguarded. You will be based in our Monterrey office as part of the Digital Procurement team.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• Engineering degree
• Strong proficiency in Excel (including vlookup, index-match, pivots); macros, array functions, and PowerPoint are a plus
• Understanding of and interest in purchasing, sourcing and saving opportunity identification
• Solid problem-solving capabilities, including disaggregation of issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions
• Knowledge of procurement technologies and sourcing solutions like Ariba, Zycus, Jaggaer, ScoutRFP, Coupa, TradeExtensions, Bravo, Ivalua, SynerTrade etc.; deep expertise is a plus
• Exposure to cutting-edge procurement topics such as spend analysis and digital sourcing
• Coding, Keelvar, statistics or data analysis background is nice to have; these skills help learn digital tools faster
