Summary We have an immediate need for a Product Engineer who will work with our multi-location Engineering team on various projects. Bilingual in English is preferred. Family-run and customer-focused since 1994, Automann has evolved into the leading distributor of HD truck and trailer parts.

Position Purpose

Design, model, and validate truck and trailer components to ensure compliance with company standards for quality, functionality, and manufacturability. Coordinate design, inspection, and failure analysis activities, while maintaining technical communication with suppliers and internal teams throughout the entire product development cycle.

Main Responsibilities

Design and model mechanical components using CAD software (SolidWorks and PTC Creo).

Perform dimensional and quality inspections on prototypes and received parts using appropriate tools and measurement methods.

Analyze and mitigate product failure modes through reverse engineering, 3D scanning (Geomagic Design X), and prototyping processes.

Communicate technical specifications and manufacturing requirements with suppliers during product development and production stages.

Prepare official quality reports such as Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and sample inspection reports with detailed product specifications.

Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to assess material properties, durability, and potential issues with returned defective parts.

Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, production, and management teams to maintain overall process and product standards.

Provide technical support to the sales and customer service departments regarding product applications and technical inquiries.

Create product application images and 360° VR views using KeyShot 9.0 for technical presentations and company website use.

Job Requirements

Education :

~ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience :

~2 to 5 years of experience in product design and development within the automotive or metal-mechanical industry.

Technical Knowledge :

Proficient in SolidWorks and PTC Creo.

Experience with dimensional inspection and metrology tools.

Knowledge of DFMEA, reverse engineering, and failure analysis.

Skilled in visualization software such as KeyShot and Geomagic Design X.

Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.

Bilingual in English is preferred.

Passport and VISA is a must.
