A Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
The position performs a variety of technical, multi-disciplined tasks early in the Product Development Process to provide timely, flexible, universal tools and processes.
The Test Engineer makes knowledgeable, data-driven decisions and employs innovative technologies with optimal control and maximum speed and flexibility.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Test Engineers regularly work in office, lab, and manufacturing facilities.
Travel to international manufacturing and / or development locations may be required.
SKILLS :
Must have strong problem-solving attributes.
Able to operate a variety of electrical test instrumentation.
Capable in hardware and software development.
Strong at communicating with and influencing design teams, vendors, and customers.
EXPERIENCE :
Greater than 3 years of relevant design / development team and / or manufacturing support.
Proven ability to methodically solve complex, technical issues.
Demonstrated proficency in NI LabView test application development.

EDUCATION :
Bachelors Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology
