Customs Brokerage Specialist

Customs Brokerage SpecialistWe're looking for a talented and proactive professional to join our team as a Customs Brokerage Specialist.

You'll be the pillar who ensures our clients' foreign trade operations are carried out with maximum efficiency, legality, and security.Your main mission will be to represent importers and exporters, expertly managing the entire customs clearance process to ensure a smooth commercial flow, optimizing costs and providing legal certainty in every shipment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and capture import and export customs declarations, ensuring their correct preparation and compliance with regulations.Act as the main point of contact and coordination between customs brokers, carriers, terminals, and clients.Guarantee strict compliance with the Customs Law, its regulations, regimes, and international trade treaties.Perform correct tariff classification of goods and accurate calculation of taxes and duties.Continuously monitor documentation and cargo status, from origin to final destination (pre-notifications, customs clock).

Handle key sector systems such as VUCEM and SAAI to streamline processes.Handle and manage audits and reviews by the customs authority.Candidate RequirementsAcademic Background : Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, Customs Law, or a related field (graduate or recently graduated).

Essential Experience : Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Customs Clerk, preferably in international logistics companies.Solid experience in preparing import and export customs declarations.Demonstrable track record in coordinating with customs brokers, carriers, and terminals.Key Technical Knowledge : Proficiency in Customs Law, tariff regimes, and non-tariff regulations and restrictions.Advanced handling of customs systems (VUCEM, SAAI).

Knowledge of international shipping documentation (BL, Bill of Lading, certificates of origin, etc.).

Calculation of foreign trade taxes and duties.Skills and Competencies : Organization and Attention to Detail : Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and documents without errors.Analytical Thinking and Problem-Solving : Capacity to identify and solve contingencies effectively.Assertive Communication : Excellent rapport with clients, suppliers, and authorities.Autonomy and Prioritization : Ability to manage your workload independently and efficiently.Ethics and Confidentiality : Integrity in handling sensitive information.Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.Additional Requirements : Conversational English (intermediate-advanced).

Availability to cover the work schedule.Valid driver's license.Personal car (desirable).
