OverviewOn the Road manager, Last Mile OTR Manager Pacific RegionRole Overview : As Operations Manager for Amazon's Last Mile Operations, you will lead a team of OTR Managers and their respective teams across multiple shifts, ensuring excellence in safety, service quality, customer experience, and operational productivity.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive results through others, and tactical follow ups of actions.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of OTR Managers across multiple shiftsDrive performance management and career development for direct reportsEstablish clear performance expectations and accountabilityFoster a positive work culture and high team engagementDrive operational standards across all shiftsOptimize resource allocation across shifts and teamsDevelop and implement standard operating proceduresLead cross-shift improvement initiativesManage relationships with senior DSP, and Business Coach leadershipEnsure operational consistency across shiftsChampion Amazon's safety culture across all shiftsEnsure compliance with safety standards across teamsLead safety committees and initiativesDrive accountability for safety metricsDevelop and implement security protocolsManage crisis response when neededOwn station-level KPIs and metricsDrive data-based decision making across teamsDevelop action plans for performance improvementTrack and analyze cross-shift productivity metrics (DPPH, SPR)Lead large-scale process improvement initiativesImplement best practices across shiftsDrive innovation in last mile delivery operationsManage change initiatives at station levelEnsure 24 / 7 operational coverage as neededManage shift handover processesCoordinate cross-shift communicationsBalance workload across shiftsHandle escalations across all shiftsAvailable for all shift operations as requiredPromote a culture of safety and wellbeingAnalyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity across shiftsSupport and lead a team and handle administrative work while building a strong team cultureAnalyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and customer servicePromote best practice and continuous process improvements across your team in health, safety, and productivityCollaborate with other managers to standardize shift processesDay in the lifeYou'll work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites.

Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site.

You'll monitor and maintain process efficiency.

Your days will include prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.

You will work with colleagues in other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets, analyze data and performance metrics with leaders, and discuss operational implications of technical improvements with engineers.About the teamAmazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles last mile delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses.

We focus on operations with 24 / 7 shifts in most locations and are committed to continuous improvement and customer-centric delivery solutions.

We leverage technology and innovation to support services like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.Our teams include both internal operations and external delivery partners.

The inside team processes millions of products for dispatch, while on-the-road operations collaborate with Amazon Flex and other contractors to deliver a superior customer experience and reduce environmental impact.Basic QualificationsA completed Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.2+ years' experience in a role with similar responsibilities1+ year of direct management experience for employees and their performance.English Intermediate-Advanced (B2+)Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbalPreferred QualificationsMBA or similarExperience using Lean manufacturing methodologiesPrevious experience as Project ManagementExperience managing department ´s KPIs and driven resultsBachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation or relatedLogistics Background from Operations environment, preferably from First-Middle Mile OpsAdvanced English Proficiency (C1+)Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
