Job DescriptionWe are looking for aCloud FinOps & Governance Engineerto join our client multi-cloud operations team.

This role will focus on driving cloud cost optimization, governance, and financial accountability across Azure and GCP environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in dashboard / report creation, automation, and policy enforcement to ensure efficient and compliant cloud usage.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and manage multi-cloud governance and FinOps frameworks across Azure and GCP.Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to track cloud costs, budgets, usage, and savings opportunities.Automate FinOps processes such as budget alerts, rightsizing recommendations, and chargeback / showback models.Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to improve cloud financial accountability and optimize resource consumption.Enforce governance policies in cloud environments (tagging standards, quota limits, cost controls, etc.).

Provide insights and recommendations on cost optimization, reserved instance usage, and workload placement.Assist in developing best practices for cloud resource management and operational efficiency.Support audits, compliance reviews, and executive reporting related to cloud spend.Required Skills & Qualifications3–6 years of experience in Cloud FinOps, Governance, or Cloud Operations.Hands-on experience with Azure and / or GCP (policies, governance, monitoring, and automation).

Strong skills in dashboard and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Cloud-native dashboards).

Proficiency with scripting / automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, etc.).

Knowledge of cloud billing models, cost optimization techniques, and FinOps best practices.Familiarity with tagging strategies, policies, and compliance enforcement in cloud platforms.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and finance stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsFinOps Certified Practitioner or related certification.Experience with cloud cost management tools (CloudHealth, Cloudability, Apptio, or native tools like Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing).

Familiarity with multi-cloud strategy and governance frameworks.Exposure to CI / CD and DevOps practices for integrating governance and cost controls.Salary / Rate : $20-$25 / hour (depends on experience level).

This is a contract to hire position with candidates expected to work 40 hours / week.

Full-Time Conversion Salary : MXN 75,000–MXN 80,000 per month.
