Job Summary

Develops new software. Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis

  • Understands, reads, and reviews requirements
  • Works with Business Analysts to understand business requirements

Software Architecture

  • Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures

    • Software Design

  • Assists with Features and modules design
  • Evaluates open source
  • Assists with the documentation and maintenance of designs for software systems

    • Development / Coding

  • Develops scripts and code for a feature and module using Java Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
  • Implements responsive and dynamic front-end interfaces using React and Redux
  • Ensures cross-technical integration across services and platforms
  • Participates in peer reviews

    • Testing

  • Develops unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, and React Testing Library
  • Identifies and fixes defects across the stack
  • Collaborates with QA to define test strategies and ensure coverage

    • DevOps

  • Captures, consolidates and maintains inventory of applications / infrastructure for all software engineering verticals
  • Documents deployed processes and tools and collects metrics
  • Documents processes and publishes them to team for review & updates

    • Software Reliability & Support Engineering

  • Captures and consolidates inventory of production applications, flows and systems for several products
  • Helps in preparing application support documentation
  • Troubleshoots basic application issues with the help of knowledgebase documents

    • Customer / Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provides status reports and maintains a project plan for a product

    • Technical Project Management

  • Provides status reports and maintains a project plan for a product

    • R&D / Innovation

  • Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates new technologies

    • Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development
  • Strong experience with React, Redux, and modern JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Maven, Git, and CI / CD pipelines
  • Understanding of full-stack principles, including state management, API integration, and responsive design
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
