This role leads the strategic growth and commercial success of Mastercard’s cybersecurity business within the division, driving revenue through direct sales engagement and collaboration with customer-facing teams.

About The Role

The Cybersecurity Business Development role will contribute to the growth of Mastercard’s Cyber business in this key segment. As the P&L owner for Mastercard Cybersecurity within the Division, you will lead strategic growth and commercial success, driving revenue through direct sales and cross-functional collaboration to maximize sales for Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Build & Oversee the GTM Operating Model for the Division — define a collaborative operating model with clear joint account coverage and unify MA Cyber narrative and sales process.
  • Coordinate Internal Execution Across Teams — facilitate key client introductions across businesses and explore cross-sell opportunities between RF / RR / Consulting.
  • Oversee sales enablement, especially for SBLs — create and maintain sales collateral, pitch decks, training, and pipeline visibility.
  • Align product, sales, CS and marketing teams around launches and revenue goals.
  • Specialist Cyber Sales — end-to-end ownership of sales with focus on consulting bundles; manage referrals for Mastercard managed Accounts.
  • Identify issues, take improvement actions and communicate progress; report on commercial integration progress; track lead funnel health and conversion efficiency; advise on integration risks.
  • Success will be measured by sales performance, client impact, and the expansion of Mastercard’s cybersecurity solutions footprint.

Required Qualifications

  • Cybersecurity experience : 10+ years’ work experience including cybersecurity consulting or technology sales.
  • Industry savvy with understanding of emerging cyber trends and market opportunities.
  • Experience with sales of security services, consulting and / or technologies such as threat intelligence, security awareness and training, cloud security, incident response, third-party risk management, threat and vulnerability management, security in AI, cyber risk quantification, web application firewall, and identity protection.
  • Diverse Stakeholder Management

  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and aligning diverse stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to influence senior leaders and drive alignment without formal authority.
  • Proven ability to deliver results through structured planning, rigorous execution, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to evolving business priorities and market dynamics.
  • Balance strategic thinking with detailed tactical execution to drive client impact and quick decisions in challenging situations.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with the ability to multitask and manage multiple requests.
  • Experience in complex organizations with strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercial Experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives.
  • Direct selling or customer-facing experience; identify client needs and build cybersecurity proposals.
  • Identify new business development opportunities; draft proposals and scope new opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with both mid- and executive-level clients.
  • Note : No non-competes that prevent sales interactions with clients in the financial services sector.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a top-tier strategy consultancy (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Oliver Wyman).
  • Experience with information security standards and best practices (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO27001, NIST, CIS, CSA).
  • Experience with payment ecosystem security awareness of customer security needs.
  • Experience in managing P&L or similar business ownership roles with a focus on growth and profitability.
