The Opportunity
Your Impact
The role is responsible for supporting the embedding of the company’s human rights strategy into global and regional procurement processes in alignment with the UN Guiding Principles. Working closely with procurement, category teams, legal, sustainability, and our external program management team, this role will focus on integrating human rights considerations into sourcing decisions and building internal capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of the Company’s supply chain human rights strategy in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
- Support revision of the Company’s contractual clauses, procurement policies, scorecard, and guidance materials to embed human rights requirements.
- Maintain partnerships with procurement and category management teams to integrate human rights risk considerations into sourcing strategies, RFPs, and supplier selection process.
- Align supply chain human rights strategy and goals with broader pep+ and business objectives, providing recommendations to leadership when needed.
- Develop internal governance processes for embedding human rights decision‐making into existing global and regional procurement structures.
- Support internal stakeholders, translating risk assessment insights and findings into actionable business decisions.
- Support delivery of training programs for procurement, sustainable sourcing, and supply chain teams to enhance awareness of human rights risks and responsibilities.
- Provide functional teams with guidance materials and ongoing support on how to identify and address human rights concerns during supplier engagement.
- Develop training curriculums on relevant human rights topics for strategic‐tier 1 suppliers and high‐risk supply chain segments.
- Maintain processes for monitoring and assessing risk across the Company’s supply chain, including emerging global trends, local systemic risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Use data‐driven insights to develop and implement tailored mitigation plans for the Company’s priority (e.g., key ingredients) and high‐risk supply chains (e.g., third‐party labor).
- Support implementation of the Company’s forced labor strategy; managing global and regional cross‐functional projects to mitigate potential risk.
- Support delivery of Supply Chain Due Diligence Program by working closely with business leaders to streamline implementation for directs, indirects, coman / copacks, and direct growers.
- Conduct enhanced due diligence assessments with key strategic and extreme / high‐risk suppliers to support incident management and / or the Company’s response to high‐profile allegations.
- Support stakeholder engagement, particularly via multi‐stakeholder initiatives, industry groups, and regulatory consultations related to supply chain human rights.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
5 years of experience in a relevant role, ideally with some prior experience in human rights, social compliance, etc.Bachelors degree required; An advanced degree in public policy, corporate responsibility, supply chain management, sustainability or related field preferred.Knowledge of human rights, social compliance, and / or global supply chains.Prior experience with data analysis, supply chains, human rights, social impact, social compliance, and / or risk management.Advanced ability with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.Strong project and data management skills and intellectual curiosity to conduct deep dives and develop expertise on new topics.Strong attention to detail, and able to balance multiple deadlines and tasks while delivering high quality work.Able to contribute to thought leadership as well as roadmaps and strategies in ambiguous situations.Flexibility and willingness to collaborate cross functionally to get work done.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the business.International and multi‐cultural exposure to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to operate in matrix organizations.If this is an opportunity that interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of the requirements.
