We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fixed Assets Specialist to manage the company’s fixed assets processes. The role involves maintaining accurate records of all fixed asset transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting reporting requirements. Payroll experience is a plus but not a mandatory requirement.

💼 Work Authorization : Must be legally authorized to work and currently residing in Mexico, with a valid US visa for travel.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Track the depreciation of assets in accordance with company policy and US GAAP.
- Conduct periodic physical inventories of fixed assets and reconcile with records.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure proper capitalization and disposal of assets.
- Prepare reports on fixed asset activities and provide analysis as needed.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with property tax filings.
- Assist with year-end reconciliation and reporting related to fixed assets.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures for asset management.
- Support the implementation and improvement of fixed asset systems.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards related to fixed assets.
Nice to Have :
Experience supporting payroll processes such as data entry, reconciliations, or reporting.Familiarity with employee benefits, bonuses, and tax withholdings.Exposure to payroll systems and compliance with labor regulations.Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.4+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting (payroll experience is a plus, not required).Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, SAP).Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Preferred Skills
Experience with ERP systems, specifically in managing fixed assets (exposure to payroll modules is a plus).Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.Benefits
