Cloud Compliance Security Engineer

Join our team! We’re looking for a Cloud Compliance Security Engineer to support our security and compliance program across cloud environments. In this role, you will help automate audit evidence collection, perform technical security assessments, create architecture diagrams, and support compliance reviews aligned to security frameworks such as NIST 800‑53 and ISO standards.

This is a hands‑on security engineering and compliance role ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys learning, scripting, problem‑solving, and working across cross‑functional teams.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Cloud Compliance Security Engineer, you will be responsible to:

• Assist in automating audit evidence collection using scripts, APIs, and cloud services.
• Support security and compliance reviews for cloud systems and services.
• Help develop authorization boundary, data flow, and architecture diagrams for audits and assessments.
• Conduct technical interviews with internal stakeholders to validate security control implementations.
• Draft clear, accurate findings, reports, and technical narratives for compliance documentation.
• Participate in risk assessments, identify gaps, and track remediation progress.
• Support proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs) for compliant and secure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with compliance, engineering, and security teams to improve processes and ensure audit readiness.
• Continue developing cloud, scripting, and compliance skills through training and certifications.

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in cloud, security, compliance, or IT operations (internships acceptable).
• Basic understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience writing scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong interest in cloud security, GRC, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
