If that sounds like a challenge you want to help tackle, we want you to join our teamThe opportunityOur Operations Services team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business and we are expanding our presence in Mexico City to support the Gas Control Center operation.We are seeking a proactive Gas Controller who has knowledge and experience in monitoring and controlling gas compression and natural gas transportation systems.This person has the skills to analyze, decision making and problem solving to control de gas through our pipelinesResponsibilitiesMonitor and control gas compression, metering and remote valve facilities to ensure the required gas volumes, line pack and contract pressures are achieved daily;Alarm and event response in accordance with the documented handling and reporting guidelines;Daily management and execution of operating plans and strategies in conjunction with Field Operations;Execute operating strategies for varying pipeline conditions, utilizing effective line pack management strategies and hydraulic evaluations;Co-ordinate scheduled outage execution and proactively manipulate system line pack and facilities in order to minimize system impact and enable outage / maintenance completions;Analyze and respond to unscheduled facility outages, abnormal operating conditions and emergency situations;Deliver sound, economically viable operational decisions for pipeline system utilization to assist in meeting targeted revenue opportunities;Develop and maintain excellent customer service standards, confidentiality, and working relationships with Shippers and Connecting Pipeline Operators;Perform administrative processes to ensure compliance with commercial obligations, logging practices and shift change.Minimum QualificationsAbility to create and maintain a positive work environment within a multifunctional team setting;Excellent communication, decision making and problem-solving skills;Strong analytical and technical abilities;Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.Must obtain Fully Qualified Status as per the Gas Controller Development and Qualification Program within the prescribed timeframe;Engineering or advanced education / training;Intermediate EnglishPreferred QualificationsFundamental knowledge of gas hydraulics, compression operation and natural gas transportation systems would be an asset.About Our BusinessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
