HR Manager en Albany Engineered Composites
The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for managing changes to a product or process throughout its lifecycle, including change proposals, review, approval, and implementation into serial production. This member is responsible for administering activities across a multidisciplinary team in a matrix organization to change various aspects of production data, such as engineering specifications, bill of material, process plans, work instructions, with specific effectivity parameters.
Responsibilities
- Perform the day-to-day management of the change request process, for example, building and reviewing change plans, managing the change implementer, making sure that the change proceeds in a timely fashion.
- Review problem report; initiate change requests (ECR) and assess its impact on any managed business items, such as parts or documents; initiate change notifications (ECN) within enterprise PLM system; monitor and facilitate the progression of ECR’s and ECN’s.
- Collaborate with Project / Program Manager(s), Configuration Manager, Product Engineer, and fellow Change Coordinators to define ECR and ECN strategies and risk mitigation plan for a particular change.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate the results of the change request.
- Notify product / process lifecycle participants and stakeholders about proposed and authorized changes.
- Review and analyze configuration data to control product (e.g. drawings, process, equipment, tools, controls, etc.) changes and negotiate between organizations to develop change implementation plans and integrated schedules.
- Technical Documentation support on internal and external Audits (AS9100, NADCAP).
- Interfaces with program / project management, configuration management, design & development, contracts, tooling, manufacturing engineering, operations, quality assurance, and product support, in order to develop change execution and change implementation plans and integrated schedules.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial Engineer or similar.5+ years supervisory experience.Experience with SAP transactions.Advanced English.Act independently.In depth knowledge of product structures, configurable products architecture and change management systems.Working knowledge of PLM tools (Windchill is a plus) and MRP / planning methodologies (SAP is preferred) is required.Knowledge of configuration data & document control requirements & software in a manufacturing environment (aviation industry is preferred).Seniority level
