Job Description
This role actively contributes to the company's business success by providing insightful financial analysis and support. The Financial Planning Specialist will be responsible for processing complex, confidential data and maintaining budgeted headcount / personnel cost. Key tasks include creating P&L reports, reviewing and uploading financial reports, analyzing variances, and identifying drivers and trends.
Main Responsibilities :
1. Create reporting of functional P&L during month-end, review and upload financial reports to global tools, and analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
2. Prepare high-quality financial management presentations with accurate data and ensure integrity in financial reports and presentations.
3. Streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support automation and digitalization initiatives in financial reporting.
4. Generate weekly and monthly HR transaction and headcount reports, audit data integrity, and provide analysis for key metrics.
5. Assist with the annual financial planning and budgeting processes, including developing timelines, tracking completion, and consolidating and analyzing personnel cost.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Three to five years of experience in a professional environment is desired, as is knowledge of HR disciplines and practices. Automotive industry experience is preferred.
Desirable skills include strong organization, planning, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). A strong analytical mind, predictive modeling experience, and business acumen are also highly valued.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences. They should also have a high level of English and Spanish language proficiency (read / write / speak), as well as excellent interpersonal skills that can bridge across various business partners.
