About the Role

As Senior Business Development Manager , you will play a key strategic role in identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities through in-licensing, out-licensing, strategic alliances, and new project development. This position has a direct impact on the company’s competitive positioning and long-term growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities that strengthen and expand the company’s product portfolio.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis of local and international pharmaceutical markets to uncover commercial opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Assess innovative technologies, business models, and products aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business cases, including financial analysis, profitability (ROI), and risk assessment.
  • Lead technical, legal, commercial, and financial feasibility studies for new product introductions.
  • Represent the company at pharmaceutical trade fairs, conferences, and networking events to build strategic partnerships.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of business development projects, from opportunity assessment to product launch.
  • Manage and control the department’s budget, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Patents, Commercial, and Business Intelligence) to ensure project success.
  • Act as the key liaison with corporate headquarters for the identification and approval of new business opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or in a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
  • Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry, leading new business development, licensing, or strategic alliances.
  • Languages

  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market (local & international).
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance processes.
  • Strong financial and business case analysis skills.
  • Excellent project management and negotiation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Xperbit, AI).
  • Work Location : México City.
