Overview

We’re Hiring : Automation Tester – Core Banking

We are looking for an Automation Tester to join our team and support functional and automation testing for core banking implementations. The role involves building reliable automation test suites in Java (Selenium / Playwright) and ensuring high-quality delivery across banking products and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Derive test scenarios from BRD / FRD / user stories and create RTMs with risk-based coverage.
  • Design and develop automated UI / API tests using Java with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright (Java / TypeScript) .
  • Implement and maintain robust automation frameworks (Page Object / Screenplay patterns, utilities, parallel execution).
  • Build API tests with REST Assured / Playwright API / Karate , including schema validations and contract testing.
  • Perform data validation using SQL (Oracle / PostgreSQL) and basic Unix log analysis.
  • Contribute to CI / CD pipelines ( Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps ) for automated testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of test automation experience with banking applications or products.
  • Strong programming skills in Java .
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and / or Playwright .
  • Knowledge of data formats ( JSON / XML ), Postman / Swagger / OpenAPI.
  • Experience with test frameworks ( JUnit, TestNG; BDD with Cucumber optional ).
  • Experience with CI / CD, Git, Maven / Gradle, Docker / Selenium Grid.
  • Familiarity with retail banking processes (CIF / KYC, deposits, lending, payments, teller), GL / accounting, EOD / BOD, and data migration basics.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish .
