Description

The Workforce Staffing (WFS) Candidate Attraction team is looking for a Regional Partnerships Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to build relationships and manage communications with community partners across Mexico. The focus is on fostering relationships with workforce organizations to source candidates for entry-level warehouse roles. Additionally, the manager will oversee national workforce relationships and develop a network of regional partners in specific risk markets. The team supports community partner activities for local job fairs and drop-in events, aiming to activate community partners and build a candidate funnel.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing local workforce development and recruitment strategies in Amazon’s most constrained markets, increasing the entry-level talent pipeline, removing obstacles for local candidates, reducing reliance on paid advertising, and meeting hiring goals.

This role requires maintaining composure in fast-paced situations, embracing ambiguity, quickly understanding complex issues, anticipating community partner questions, and formulating effective messaging strategies to position Amazon as the local employer of choice. Essential skills include consulting, facilitation, influencing, communication, coaching, analysis, risk evaluation, empathy, problem-solving, and high judgment using data-driven decision-making.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with Candidate Attraction leadership and internal stakeholders to develop local recruitment strategies based on market data and insights.
  • Deliver on KPIs to meet hiring goals, including targeted audiences like military personnel, people with disabilities, referrals, and refugees.
  • Identify obstacles faced by local candidates and develop programs to eliminate employment barriers.
  • Create and implement scalable hiring strategies based on data.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with community organizations and workforce development partners, demonstrating ROI.
  • Monitor labor market trends impacting Amazon’s staffing needs.
  • Develop internal partnerships to ensure stakeholder alignment across various teams and external entities.

A day in the life

  • Analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports on Candidate Generation activities.
  • Plan and coordinate community events like job fairs and information sessions to increase hires.
  • Research and execute opportunities for large-scale community engagement.
  • Lead and manage projects of increasing scale and complexity, overseeing programs to completion.
  • Provide training and foster team culture focused on Candidate Generation activities.
  • Travel up to 50% within the designated geographical area to conduct events.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau, SQL, QuickSight.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with investigative work, including interviews and data analysis.
  • Experience developing policies and supporting documentation.
  • Experience handling confidential employee information with strict confidentiality standards.
