OverviewCloudflare is seeking an Implementation Manager for Application Security and Performance.
This is an individual contributor role in the post-sales landscape, responsible for the technical execution of solutions and guidance to customers to maximize value from Cloudflare deployments.
You are an expert in Layer 7 products including DDoS Protection, WAF, API Gateway, Bot Management, Certificates Manager, Rate Limiting, SSL and Page Shield.What you will doPlan and deliver timely and organized services for customers, ensuring they see the full value of Cloudflare's products and best practices.Gather business and technical requirements, use cases, and other information to build, migrate and deliver a solution.
Produce artifacts such as Solution Design, HLD, LLD, databuilds, procedures, scripts, test plans, deployment and migration plans, and as-built documentation.Implement changes in the Cloudflare environment following the customer's change management process.
Provide guidance to configure customers' CPEs and integration points.Troubleshoot implementation issues and collaborate with Customer Support, Engineering and other teams on escalations.Contribute to organizational knowledge through documentation, Q&A, and development of operational assets like templates, automation scripts, procedures, and workflows.Experience and qualifications8+ years in a customer-facing role such as Customer Engineer, Security Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Onboarding Engineer, Consultant, Technical Support Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Systems Engineer.Understanding of OSI layers and protocols (TCP / IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP).
Deep knowledge of Internet security technologies (DDoS, WAF, Certificates, DNS, CDN, analytics and logs).
Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) and a willingness to expand skills.Experience with security and performance aspects of internet properties (Firewalls, WAFs, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, TLS, HTTP / 2, TLSv1.3).
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
Project management skills, ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage uncertainty.English language work environment; fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong advantage.Working arrangementsThis position operates Monday to Friday 09 :
Some weekend work may be required for specific changes.
Travel is expected around 30%.
