Job Purpose : The Business Development Senior Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding the customer base within the supply chain sector. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management, and the development of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning

Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Opportunity Identification

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the logistics and supply chain industry.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  • Proposal Development

    • Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business.
  • Performance Monitoring

    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on business development activities and outcomes.

    • Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
