Senior Oracle OTM Professional

  • A career opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Oracle OTM professional to support two major initiatives.

About the Opportunity :

  • We're seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual to lead an on-premise upgrade of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) version 6.5.3 across three environments by year-end.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing OTM functionalities and integrations for our Epes General Commodity business model.

    • This role requires a strong mix of technical and functional expertise, with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the OTM upgrade process across multiple environments.
  • Design, develop, and implement new OTM functionalities and enhancements.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing for upgrades, integrations, and configurations.
  • Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams on server, database, and middleware support.
  • Troubleshoot technical and functional issues post-upgrade and ensure stability.
  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

    • Requirements :

  • 7+ years of OTM experience with at least 2 full lifecycle upgrades (preferably to v6.5.x or higher).
  • Strong mix of 60% technical / 40% functional expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of OTM architecture, workflows, and integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle DB administration, SQL / PLSQL tuning, and backup / recovery.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure and middleware supporting OTM environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Background in logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments preferred.
