The Sr. Buyer position will be responsible for negotiating and buying high and low-voltage wiring harness, power distribution, connectors and other electrical components in support of the Electrical Wiring Purchasing organization. The duties include management of the sourcing process, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex challenges, capacity and cost management, and PO/ contract administration. This includes but is not limited to: Selecting suppliers, placing purchase orders, managing complex contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, managing key Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationships, and developing commodity strategies.

The ideal candidate must have: The ability to coordinate activities with other departments and resolve conflicts; must lead a cross functional team with "One Voice" to suppliers; and develop and manage key supplier relationships while maximizing suppliers' ability to deliver quality product on time. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing and/or assisting in the development of strategies and solutions to continuously improve costs, quality and capacity.
