BI Data Steward

Required Skills & Experience :

~4+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Management or Data Stewardship experience, general understanding of data governance concepts and processes

~ Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality, and stewardship.

~ SAP Experience

~ Experience working with FINANCIAL data- finance master data, COPA, general ledger

~ Ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.

~ Basic SQL knowledge and experience working with Visualization BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc).

~ Advanced data analytical skills, including identification, interpretation and documentation of data patterns, standards, and quality rules

~ Strong communication skills and Excel proficiency, including experience profiling with Excel

~ Experience researching, validating, profiling and cataloging datasets

~ Ability to own sub-tasks of a project with little supervision.

~ Excellent written and oral communication

Job Description :

A Fortune 100 client is looking to add a Data Steward Advisor to their team. Activities will include, but not limited to : Highly motivated with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated proficiency in using Excel to source, analyze, normalize and process data to define requirements for ongoing processing and management of the data including quality validations.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of master data elements and processes
• Strong data management background with understanding of how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality, and stewardship
• Ability to translate business requirements into critical data dependencies and requirements
• Ability to think beyond their current state (processes, roles and tools) and work towards an unconstrained, optimized design
