FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee all controlling activities for the Mexico entity, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and clear visibility into performance. This role will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, deliver financial analysis to support decision-making, and coordinate both internal and external reporting requirements. The Controller will serve as the key finance leader in-country—providing insight, stability, and partnership to the business while ensuring processes run efficiently through collaboration with global shared services. This is a hands-on position responsible for driving process improvements, safeguarding compliance, and building a best-in-class local finance function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the coordination, preparation, and analysis of annual budget and quarterly estimates.
- Oversee the month-end close process by reviewing business results, and provide analysis of Net Working Capital elements including WIP, Inventory, AR, and AP.
- Ensure the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting using OneStream / Hyperion and the validation of the quality of the underlying data prepared by Financial Shared Service Center.
- Ensure clear data structures in our ERP system (Oracle) to enable maximum transparency to cost and P / L ownership in a Global matrix setup.
- Lead and coordinate the annual local external audits.
- Coordinate the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all local tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Administer and ensure compliance of corporate policies, US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.BS / Accounting / BSc / MBA or equivalent education.Minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience in finance, including several years as a Controller.Self-starter, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.Experience working in a matrix organization and with global colleagues, especially remote support teams, is a must.Oracle and / or Hyperion experience are a huge plus.COMPENSATION
