YOUR ROLE

  • Interface with cross functional team to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements & to ensure proper design interfaces with other components, and all requirements are met.
  • Work with other functions Design / Releasing teams to ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs.
  • Translate Functional Objectives into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Create and analyze alternative design concepts.
  • Integrating system components.
  • Maintain core Engineering Design Practices (EDP’s).
  • Implement innovation roadmaps as well as coordinate the advancement of new technologies and procedures to improve program timing.
  • Own and update Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) - ensure functional objectives, guidelines and corporate requirements are met.
  • Conduct Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling (Catia / NX) and template set-up & maintenance using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques.
  • Clearly communicate component status and issues in Google Suite and MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Generate CAD and 2D drawings for components including GD&T.
  • Build detailed harness BOMs.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Powertrain, Engine, Transmission operation and components. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CAN / LIN bus and experience with circuit analysis.
  • NX and Teamcenter knowledge.
  • Automotive Interior Product Design components / systems design / development / releasing experience.
  • Experience with Tooling feasibility in Injection molded plastics / Decorative components.
  • Knowledge of Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), FEA, Mold Flow Virtual Validation, GD&T, and i-Speed.
  • Knowledge of Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, Projection Technologies.
  • Understanding of Bluetooth, WiFi protocols, USB
  • Strong technical knowledge of plastic design and system interfaces.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanism and moving components interfaces.
  • Strong technical knowledge of plastic components and metal structures design and seat system interfaces.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering protocols and standards.
  • High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
