This person plays a key role in supporting the oversight of finance, accounting, and reporting functions. They manage financial and operational data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all financial related activities for Mexico and Central America entities.
- Work closely with senior leadership and their staff to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures and ensure compliance.
- Assist the Regional Finance Director Latam in producing accurate and timely financial statements and reporting to HQ.
- Drive the month-end close and year-end financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.
- Partner closely with the Commercial Finance Business function to understand operational results to support the business in driving profitable growth.
- Analyze and understand financial results for the region in order to explain significant drivers
- Manage external and internal audits.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to the systems and related processes in place to gather and post all information to the financial system
- Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor financial progress and keep senior leadership abreast of company’s financial status.
- Supervise treasury and tax activities
- Work closely with Finance operations with regards to Billing, accounts payable and account receivables.
- Supervise cash balance and forecast reports for senior management and explore cash management opportunities.
- Partners with Regional Finance Director to establish system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
- Act as Company liaison with third parties regarding complex matters pertaining to accounting and finance.
- Experience working in high volume companies and in a multinational environment.
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of progressively increasing experience in accounting or financial management position and taxesEducation in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting. MBA is a plus.Fluent in Spanish and English.Strong knowledge of accounting practices and principles.High level of written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact across many offices and levels of business.Strong analytical skills and extremely detail oriented.Ability to professionally drive change and process.Strong background in Microsoft Office – Highly proficient in Excel.Excellent organizational skills, follow-up and a proactive work style.Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments.Experience with SAP B1 is a plus.
