Job Description

• Lead business and functional resources in the design of efficient enterprise business processes that leverage technical solutions being delivered or developed.
• Facilitate working sessions with a diverse group of individuals for different project needs, e.g., to gather requirements or to demonstrate software function.
• Provide PLM application knowledge to various groups within Cummins so that PLM technologies and applications can be evaluated and placed appropriately on the Cummins PLM roadmap.
• Work with the PLM Support team so there is a common picture of the overall PLM solution direction.
• Provide guidance on high-level solution direction within PLM.
• Design / Develop Process Solutions for business to meet the strategy objectives.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis and suggest and develop metrics to track progress to meet objectives.
• Participate in the creation of standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines for the IT team as well as providing guidance and input to training material development.
• Analyse and revise existing systems and documentation to identify remediation or improvements in the application solution.
• Strong customer interfacing skills to convey design approaches.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Ability to learn about and recommend new technologies.
• Strong communication and team skills to work effectively on multi-business unit, multi-functional teams.
• Lead design related workshops, drive issue resolution and act as a change agent.
• Creates and maintain relationships with new acquaintances quickly and confidently; works to build trust and partner with stakeholders; manages relationships with internal and external parties.
• Apply different approaches to convince others to change their opinion or plan, and win support from others for ideas; build support with peers without direct lines of reporting across a matrix organization.
• Consider the relative benefits and costs of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one; act decisively and swiftly; identify problems and drive toward solutions; take on accountable roles for outcomes.
• Awareness of impact on performance and user experience due to configured application.
• Experience of 5+ years on PLM products that includes at least 3 years of PTC Windchill and 2 years of Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience.
• 6 or more years of system analysis and design experience is required, including the creation of functional requirements for enterprise-level business application solutions involving multi-tier client / server, database, or web-based applications.
• Experience with a full software development lifecycle process that included formal project management.
• Functional domain knowledge should include PLM software applications; technical domain knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of Windchill 13 is preferred.
• Experience with BOM Views, MPMLink, Variant Configuration, Options and Variants is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with other PTC applications, Creo Parametric, Creo View, Integrity and ThingWorx would be useful.
• Experience extending the digital thread upstream / downstream from PLM would be an advantage.
