Who You’ll Work With
The Strategy & Transformation Practice is one of the largest practices at Bain, delivering client impact through innovative approaches, tools and delivery models. The Practice collaborates with partners, senior managers and teams to bring Bain’s experience and latest tools to bear across sectors and offices. The Practice Director Value Creation Center role is part of the Corporate Strategy and Finance solution team and supports IP development, client work and knowledge management. The Value Creation Center combines Bain’s analytical and technological capabilities to support client conversations on value creation and is led by a partner team with global reach.
The Practice Director Value Creation Center will lead the Mexico hub and work with teams across the globe, with a focus on North America, to accelerate value creation for Bain clients. The role reports to the Expert Partner who is the General Manager of the Value Creation Center and collaborates with the global solution leader and related stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Advising clients on value creation from an investor perspective, often at Board or C-level, supported by a dedicated team of analysts.
- Developing recommendations to accelerate value creation across financial statements and working with industry experts and Bain partner teams.
- Leading the Value Creation Center team in Mexico, including ramp-up of multiple teams and supervision of investor-led full-potential discussions with global clients.
- Innovating the delivery model by embedding the latest technologies, such as AI, in collaboration with Bain innovation experts and developers.
- Ensuring quality control of delivered work and managing staff allocation to opportunities in alignment with the partner team.
- Developing new Bain IP, establishing an ongoing innovation feedback loop with clients, and supporting technological innovation based on client feedback.
- Contributing to the global marketing plan, supporting publication development and internal / external awareness measures.
- Maintaining ongoing dialogue with global delivery teams across regions, and supporting training and sharing client learnings and insights.
About You
A great candidate will possess :
Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance, Economics, or related field). MBA or CFA preferred, but not required.10+ years of professional experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or a related field.Strong track record in managing multiple teams of financial analysts / consultants.Experience presenting recommendations to senior executives, ideally Board / C-level.Strong financial acumen and advanced Excel / financial modeling skills.Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage complex analyses and synthesize strategic insights.Exposure to engagements in corporate strategy, capital markets, M&A, due diligence, or enterprise value creation.Familiarity with valuation techniques (DCF, multiples, etc.) and capital markets dynamics.Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, client-facing environment.Experience or familiarity with AI-driven business solutions (e.g., generative AI or machine learning applications in finance).Other skills and experiencePython programming skills for financial modeling or data analysis are a plus.Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and high-quality presentations, ideally for Boards or C-level audiences.Demonstrated ability to work in diverse teams and manage projects across multiple teams.Strong problem solving and organizational skills with a self-starter mindset.Entrepreneurial, proactive and collaborative : ability to prioritize, drive progress and rally colleagues.Continuous learner with a future-oriented mindset and customer-centric approach.Servant leadership : track record of managing high-performing, service-oriented team members and developing others.Seniority level
