Reporting to the Lead People Operations Specialist, the Senior People Operations Specialist is responsible for providing a broad range of Human Resource operational services for Canada. This position supports the strategic goals of the Human Resources department and the overall organization by providing support in all areas of Human Resources Operations including but not limited to operations, benefits administration, compliance and reporting, programs and policies and systems administration. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage some of Human Resources operational processes in the full employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Perform the new hire process including system entry, collection and audit of new hire paperwork and work closely with the payroll team.
- Manage benefits and leave of absence administration including enrollment, audit, internal communications, and first point of contact for employees’ queries.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations as well as conduct regular audit of documentation and operational processes and programs.
- Partner with Lead Operations to generate and review reports, ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracy in reporting.
- In collaboration with Lead People Operations Specialist, maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation for Canada.
- Work with global teams to set up or update internal systems to meet Canada needs and requirements.
- Coordinate work with other global and local departments involved in related processes.
- Respond to employee queries on HR operational matters including but not limited to benefit and leave questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have :
A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in various areas of HR or HR Operations.Education in Human Resources or equivalent experience.Proven experience in HR Operations tasks, including but not limited to onboarding, benefits administration, employee engagement, employee file management, compliance, etc.Passionate about teamwork & continuous improvement with attention to details and critical thinking skills.Self-starter with a customer service approach.Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving skills. The ability to prioritize competing demands and work within service timelines.Capable of self-management, working effectively with minimal supervision.Preferred experience in a global organization.
