Overview

Enterprise Release Manager

Location : Mexico

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage release plans, calendars, and communication across enterprise platforms.
  • Coordinate all release activities including planning, build, testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
  • Drive release readiness reviews, milestone tracking, and change approvals.
  • Work closely with project managers, QA leads, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment on timelines and dependencies.
  • Oversee release governance, ensuring compliance with organizational change management policies.
  • Manage release risks and issues, and develop contingency and rollback plans.
  • Maintain a centralized release dashboard with metrics on release frequency, quality, and performance.
  • Serve as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring minimal disruption and effective communication of release impacts.
  • Optimize the CI / CD pipeline and automation processes to enhance release efficiency.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements related to software delivery and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4+ years in Release Management or DevOps leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise-scale releases involving multiple systems and teams.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments preferred.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification(s) such as ITIL, Agile (Scrum Master / SAFe), or DevOps.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of release automation, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes).
  • Experience with global teams and follow-the-sun release models.
