We are looking for a talented individual to join the Product Control (PC) Valuation team to be a key contributor for all valuation matters pertaining to HSBC Mexico Global Banking & Markets. This role reports to the Product Control Valuation Team Lead, liaises across the Finance team, and supports process improvement and automation initiatives.
Main Activities
- Key contributor of HSBC Mexico Valuation Policy.
- Implementation and automation of FRTB related processes within the Product Control department.
- Investigate collateral / MTM disputes with external counterparties.
- Support the Core PC team on PL disputes related to valuation.
- Ensure local models are well documented, reviewed by the Independent Model Review team, and accurately listed in GMIS.
- Calculate, post and reconcile all Fair Value Adjustments for HSBC Mexico Global Banking and Markets.
- Manage the daily End of Day curve process needed to derive marked‑to‑market for certain asset classes.
- Act as the focal point for all valuation questions from internal and external stakeholders (PwC, audit, business, NPDD, etc.).
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of valuation techniques for FX and Fixed Income asset classes.Strong knowledge of Fair Value Adjustments for these asset classes (IPV, Bid‑Offer, Illiquidity, xVA, etc.).Superior interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with senior management, self‑motivated, good judgment and independent decision‑making, and ability to contribute to a team environment.¡You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC!
