About The Role

About The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Uber Freight, you will architect and build highly scalable systems that power the logistics network connecting shippers and carriers. What The Candidate Will Do

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend systems and services across multiple domains.
• Lead system design discussions and influence the architecture of large-scale distributed systems.
• Drive engineering best practices and set high standards for code quality, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Operations to deliver impactful features.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering growth.
• Contribute to long-term technical strategy and proactively identify areas for system and process improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead resolution efforts across teams.
