Location- LATAM (major hubs such as Mexico City & São Paulo preferred)
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage scientific collaborations with luminary institutions and drive joint projects that lead to publications, external grants, and / or patent applications.
Identify, build, and support strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the region.
Maintain clinical and technical expertise; partner with internal R&D and external researchers on prototyping, comprehensive evaluation, and testing of new products.
Keep customers and collaborators informed about UIH technologies and roadmaps; deliver scientific / technical presentations and trainings.
Draft, negotiate, and manage research agreements in coordination with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and risks; ensure high-quality documentation and reporting.
Maintain accurate budget assessments and contribute to internal strategic budget planning.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional UIH teams and leadership across time zones.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Ph.D. and / or M.D. in Medical Physics, Oncology Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with deep technical knowledge in
at least one
of the following : MR, PET / CT, or PET / MR.
Experience
Candidates should bring strengths in
one or more
of the following areas (not necessarily all) :
Strong clinical and / or technical background in PET / CT
or
MR imaging, with a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications.
MRI pulse-sequence development (e.g., IDEA / EPIC / Pulseq)
or
scientific programming relevant to MR (e.g., Python / C++ / MATLAB).
PET image reconstruction methods and toolchains (e.g., OSEM, TOF, PSF modeling; STIR / SIRF or equivalent)
or
related algorithm development and validation.
Language
Native-level Spanish or Portuguese
and
professional fluency in English (spoken and written).
Additional Skills & Attributes
Proven ability to lead research projects and collaborations to successful outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Willing and able to travel up to ~30%, including short international trips across LATAM and occasional travel to the U.S. and / or China.
