Overview

Are you passionate about building reliable backend systems and empowering data science and machine learning teams? We’re looking for experienced Python engineers to create tools and services that help DS / ML teams deliver faster, more robust results.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build APIs and backend services to move and process data efficiently.
  • Develop systems to automate tasks and make experimentation easier for data teams.
  • Build and operate robust job queues and scheduling systems, ensuring things run smoothly—even when they get busy.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to “productionize” notebooks, formalize data contracts, and improve workflows.
  • Contribute to internal dashboards / tools as needed.

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of hands-on experience writing high-quality Python code in production environments.
  • You’ve worked with FastAPI (or similar), and care about data validation and building clear, well-documented APIs.
  • You have practical experience with Celery (or other job processing frameworks), especially when it comes to retries and managing failed jobs.
  • You’ve used PostgreSQL in depth, including designing schemas and optimizing queries for analytics purposes.
  • You’re comfortable with Docker and modern Git workflows.
  • You enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, supporting others, and sharing expertise.
  • You believe in strong testing and building systems that are observable and easy to debug.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Firebase) or infrastructure tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Airflow).
  • Open source contributions or active involvement in the Python community.
