Resumen de Posición :

Welding connections, environmental plans and adjustments to pumping equipment following established guidelines and procedures, taking measurements during assembly and filling out the necessary records, with the goal of personal safety and that of coworkers.

Responsabilidades Esenciales :

  • MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Properly wear your personal protective equipment and full uniform at all times during the shift.
  • Read and understand manufacturing drawings before starting any work.
  • Prepare the necessary material to perform the assigned work.
  • Review and understand the materials list in order to prepare the required material and detect if there are errors and / or shortages. Notify your supervisor in case of doubt or shortages
  • Measure, Mark, Cut and Bend materials according to the specification (Drawings)
  • Weld the materials knowing the compatibility between base metal and filler metal
  • Complete the Welding checklist with all records duly filled out and signed
  • Use TIG equipment to weld flanges, connections, supports, repairs and instruments, using the technical fundamentals of TIG welding (Current, Polarity, Electrode Type, Filler Material, Temperature, etc.)
  • Use Coated Electrodes to weld flanges, connections, supports, repairs and instruments, using the technical fundamentals of SMAW welding (Current, Polarity, Electrode Type, Filler Material, Temperature, etc.)
  • Take care of the condition of the tool / equipment / instruments assigned and those of the area.
  • Clean, organize and store the tools / equipment / instruments used during the work day, leaving a clean work area according to the order and cleanliness standard (6S)
  • Carry out a safety observation per month and propose an action to improve or solve the observation.
  • Take care of your integrity and that of your colleagues when performing safe maneuvers with equipment of any size.
  • At all times follow up on your assigned workload and report any doubt / anomaly / discrepancy to your immediate supervisor.
  • Is responsible for handling the pump / Base / Environment Plans from the welding area to the assembly area, maintaining order at all times.
  • Is responsible for the special materials of the orders that have been assigned to him / her, as an example (screws of special materials, seal accessories, or mechanical seals that will not be used for laboratory testing at the time) among others.
  • Does not generate SCRAP for any component and / or handling of the equipment.
  • Use and care of the forklift, as well as filling out the checklist before using it
  • Correctly use the measuring instruments to verify the tolerances required in the assembly of the equipment
  • Evaluate the operations to be carried out and analyze the risks to have safe work days
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in your work area at all times.
  • Take care of and be responsible for the assigned tools and / or equipment
  • Report your full work time in the EPICOR system through a work order / production order

    High school completed and / or technical degree (Welding, Machine Tools or similar)

    EXPERIENCE :

    Minimum 2 years verifiable by practical and theoretical test as : Welder

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES :

    Use of hand tools.

    TIG Welding Application

    SMAW Welding Application

    Cutting Materials with Power Tools

    Bending Materials with Hand / Hydraulic Tools

    Workshop tools (presses, heat inductors, skates, etc.)

    Use of Measuring Instruments (Vernier, outside micrometer, height gauge as a minimum)
