The Safety Senior Manager – Regional Manufacturing will be responsible for leading and implementing the regional Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy for a multinational manufacturing organization.
This position oversees multiple plants across Latin America, providing both technical and strategic support to ensure safety excellence, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong experience driving cultural transformation , managing technical HSE teams , and standardizing safety practices across complex industrial environments. The role requires a strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, Lean, Kaizen) and sustainability performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field required)
Advanced English proficiency
Minimum 10 years of HSE leadership experience in manufacturing
Proven experience managing multi-site or regional safety operations
Solid knowledge of ISO standards (45001 / 14001)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Availability to travel across the LATAM region

Responsibilities : Production Management : Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and customer demand. Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs. Team Leadership : Lead and motivate a team of employees, including supervisors, operators, and technicians. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure employee development and engagement. Foster a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality. Quality Assurance : Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Investigate and address any quality issues or production discrepancies promptly. Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Promote a safety-conscious culture among employees through training and awareness programs. Budget and Cost Management : Develop and manage the plant budget, including expenses related to labor, materials, and equipment. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes. Monitor financial performance metrics and implement cost-saving initiatives as needed. Supply Chain Coordination : Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Manage inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Communication and Reporting : Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on production performance, challenges, and opportunities. Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and operational efficiency. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the packaging industry. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
