About the Role

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is seeking an Director of Rooms to join our dynamic Rooms Team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with directing and controlling the activities of the Front Desk, Communications, Concierge, Housekeeping, Retail, Kids Club, and Bell Staff. They will also respond to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest's needs and adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the Department Heads in the departments named above. Ensure thorough communication and follow‐up on any problems, guest or employee requests or special requirements, and resort initiatives. Interview, train the staff, conduct performance evaluations, and discipline staff when needed.
  • Review and monitor schedules of staff in all departments in the Rooms Division. Monitor their activities to assure that standards are being met, staff is being supported, and guest needs are being met. Inspect all areas of responsibility in the Rooms Division.
  • Resolve customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Resolve complaints in person, by phone, or through written message.
  • Assist customers in all inquiries in connection with Resort services, hours of operation, key hotel personnel, in‐house events, directions, etc. Respond to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guests will be in person and by phone.
  • Assure that financial goals are being met. Monitor and control labor expense, and supplies / equipment expenses. Work closely with Reservations, Sales, and the Front Office to maximize rate, occupancy, and total revenue.

What You Bring

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Five to seven years of previous experience in the rooms division or related management position.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to multi‐task on several assignments at once.
  • Strong communication skills between co‐workers and guests.
  • Proficiency operating computer equipment and other computer systems used in the rooms division.
  • Quick problem‐solving skills and the ability to resolve guest complaints in a timely manner.
