Regional Deputy Director of HR & Administration @ CTG Latam
China Three Gorges Latam, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a Legal Associate to join its Mexico City team. This role is a key part of the Legal & Compliance Department, reporting directly to the Sr. Legal Associate and working in close coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer .
The Legal Associate will provide internal legal support to Kinich Energía and its affiliates, assisting with day-to-day legal needs across the organization. This position plays a vital role in helping implement effective legal and risk prevention mechanisms that protect the Company’s interests and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides internal legal support and advice to the Company, its affiliates, and SPVs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Supports corporate governance, including the preparation of board and shareholder meetings, in line with Mexican law, bylaws, and internal policies.
- Drafts meeting calls, minutes, and maintains corporate books and records.
- Provides research and document review for legal matters related to investments, financing, construction, operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitors legal publications such as the Federal Official Gazette and energy sector updates.
- Supports the Legal Manager in reviewing transaction documents, managing data rooms, and coordinating with external parties such as lenders, trustees, and advisors.
- Contributes to the drafting of due diligence and legal reports during acquisition processes.
- Drafts, reviews, and manages contracts and agreements following internal Policy.
- Organizes and maintains the contract archive, oversees numbering, and ensures compliance during the life cycle of contracts.
- Collaborates in procurement processes, including drafting RFPs, evaluation documents, contract approvals, and legal support for supplier selection.
- Coordinates with external counsel, tracks legal deadlines, and case-related documents.
- Assists with evidence gathering and internal litigation reports.
- Helps to adapt internal policies to align with Mexican legislation and corporate requirements.
- Assists in managing confidentiality issues, and identifying unethical or illegal conduct.
- Prepares reports and payment requests for the department.
- Support communications with government entities and supports internal administrative tasks.

University Degree in Law and Admission to practice in MexicoAt least 2 years’ relevant experience related to Legal & Compliance functionsDemonstrated analytical and writing skills, results oriented and hands-on approachDemonstrated skills and experience in managing disputes and arbitrationsFluently spoken and written English; fluent Spanish requiredStrong communication, adaptability, and leadership skillsSeniority level
