What You’ll Do

  • Work on a team of highly talented platform engineers to help maintain and scale the current and future state services platform.
  • Help architect and develop the future compute platform by leveraging industry best practices and embracing new technologies to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with cloud providers to influence their product roadmaps to better suit future state architecture.
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement enhancements to compute platform capabilities, enabling teams to build and iterate applications effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce automation and improvements to avoid repetitive operational tasks.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure operational excellence and overall platform health.

We Are a Match Because You Have

  • 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or SRE roles using an object-oriented language (Python, Golang, etc).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes in a public cloud environment (GKE, EKS, AKS, etc.).
  • Experience with Istio / Service Mesh.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, etc).
  • Background working within a public cloud environment GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools such as Argo, Buildkite, TravisCI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Fluentbit, Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, Kibana, Elastic Search, Splunk, Pagerduty, etc.).
  • Strong networking knowledge.
  • Experience working in agile environments.
  • Analytical mindset and passion for solving business problems with technology.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with Dev Testing tools and patterns such as Garden, Flagger, Canary Deployments, Blue / Green Testing, A / B Testing.
  • Experience with Kubernetes Admission Control (Kyverno, OPA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of workload scaling (HPA, VPA, Capacity Planning / Reservations, etc).

    • Availability to work rotating shifts :

  • Shift 1 : 5 : 30 a.m. – 1 : 30 p.m. (Mexico Central Time)
  • Shift 2 : 9 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 30 p.m. (Mexico Central Time)

    • The schedule includes two days off per week : one week with days off on the weekend, and the remaining three weeks with rest days during the week.
