System Engineer Latin America

Overview

Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled System Engineer to join our team and take ownership of maintaining and optimizing our core infrastructure. This role involves managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability of PostgreSQL databases, maintaining Kafka environments, and handling core networking and Linux systems administration tasks. This is an exciting job with room for significant career growth.

Please note : you must have at least 6+ years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including setup, configuration, performance tuning, and replication management.
• Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka for high-throughput data streaming applications.
• Manage and troubleshoot networking configurations, including routing, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Utilize Linux command-line tools for system administration, automation, and performance monitoring.
• Implement best practices for security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure infrastructure stability and scalability.
• Document system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
