Mid Fullstack Engineer (NestJS / AWS / Azure) (Remote - Latam)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Mid Fullstack Engineer (NestJS / AWS / Azure) in Latin America .

As a Mid Fullstack Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining modern, cloud-native platforms that power AI-driven simulations for workforce training. You will primarily focus on backend development using TypeScript and NestJS while supporting frontend components with ReactJS. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help migrate legacy systems to scalable architectures in Azure and AWS, ensuring high-quality, performant, and maintainable solutions. Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services with NestJS and TypeScript .
• Support frontend components using ReactJS as needed (~20% of the role).
• Contribute to the migration of legacy Java-based backend services to modern cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to software best practices.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in Azure and AWS environments.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance system performance for reliability and scalability.
• 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript and NestJS in production.
• Experience with ReactJS (basic to intermediate) for frontend support.
• Familiarity with Java for legacy system understanding and migration.
• Experience working with cloud services (Azure preferred; AWS a plus).
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines , such as Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, REST APIs, and modular architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Nice to have : experience integrating AI tools / APIs, containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), and mentoring team members.
